The answer was not the famous viewpoint. It was a tiny bakery at the end of the street. I filmed the walk, the first batch of bread, and the moment the owner opened the door. Those three moments told the whole story. My favorite editing trick is to cut anything that repeats what the viewer already knows. What can I turn into a short?
Upload your own MP4, MOV, or WebM video, up to 60 minutes and 2 GB. Conversations, interviews, and vlogs are a great place to start. You’ll need the right to upload and edit the footage.
Will it sound like me?
Your original voice stays in the video. ShortMe selects and connects existing moments; it does not create a new voice or invent dialogue. Captions follow the spoken language.
Can I choose the length?
Yes. Choose any target from 15 to 180 seconds. We aim for a natural ending at or before that length. If the footage doesn’t contain enough strong material, you may receive a shorter short or fewer versions.
What counts toward my minutes?
Each generation counts the length of your source video, once. Creating three versions from a ten-minute source uses ten minutes. A new creative generation uses minutes again; a technical retry, caption switch, or download does not.
Is my footage private?
Your files are private and accessed through temporary links. Audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription, and selected frames and text go to Google Gemini for analysis, with your consent. Source files are removed after 7 days; results after 30 days. You can delete them sooner.
Can I use ShortMe on my phone?
The web studio works on your phone. Dedicated iOS and Android apps are being prepared; store links will appear here when they are available. Processing continues in the cloud after your upload finishes.
